2023 LA Auto Show Will Be Back To Its Pre-Pandemic Best

This is said to be the show's strongest event since the industry's resurgence from the pandemic.

The Los Angeles Auto Show has announced that it will hold its "strongest event" since the industry's resurgence from the pandemic.

When Covid-19 hit, the 2020 Geneva Motor Show was the first auto show to close its doors. Others soon followed suit and only in the past year or so have shows slowly started to return. Geneva will return for 2024.

Automakers took this lull in proceedings to evaluate the importance of shows, with most brands opting to hold their own private events in order to own the news cycle with all eyes on their products.

However, it appears that a number of brands have decided to grace the LA Auto Show with their presence. The show opens from November 17-26, held at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

"We were exhilarated to receive confirmation of attendance from most of the automakers very early this year," said LA Auto Show president Terri Toennies.

With the "overwhelming support" from brands, manufacturers will be occupying larger booth spaces. The LA Auto Show has moved several driving tracks outside to a new Electric Avenue test track.

The latter is expected to return to the auto show in its facelifted 2024 model form. All-electric cars will also take part in the show, solidifying California's status as a global leader in EV adoption.

"We will announce more details about automaker debuts, individual activations, and test drives soon, as well as some very special new exhibits," said Toennies.

"Time and again, LA Auto Show has consistently offered an unmatched opportunity to experience and compare a wide variety of brands in a single location, which is what active shoppers love most about our show."
