2024 Chrysler Pacifica Gains New Colors And Luxurious Interior For Top Trim

Industry News / 5 Comments

In the real world, minivans like the Pacifica are still a top choice for bigger families.

Chrysler has revealed the latest updates for the 2024 Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid, the latter being the only plug-in hybrid in the minivan segment. We'll dive straight into the changes, which include a new Sepia interior color for the upscale Pinnacle trim. This includes Sepia-quilted Nappa leather seats with Sydney Gray piping and Light Diesel stitching. Outside, the minivan introduces two new colors: Red Hot and Baltic Gray.

The Road Tripper Package - with its unique exterior design and 20-inch wheels on the non-hybrid model - is also available with the new Baltic Gray paint. Unfortunately, we can't show you what the minivan looks like with these new colors as Chrysler has yet to share images of the 2024 model, but besides the new colors, there appear to be no major changes from the 2023 version seen here.

Elsewhere, the Pacifica PHEV range has been reduced to two trims: Select and Pinnacle. By comparison, the 2023 version came in Touring L, Limited, and Pinnacle trims. Non-hybrid models retain their Touring, Touring L, Limited, and Pinnacle trims.

Customers can upgrade the Pacifica PHEV Select with the S Appearance, Premium S Appearance, and Road Tripper packages. Already available on 2023 models, the S Appearance Package (chosen by one of every three Pacifica customers) comes with exterior Anodized Ink finishes and wheels with a "Foreshadow" finish.

The only other change for 2024 involves the emergency vehicle alert system. This feature is baked into the Uconnect connected-vehicle platform. Via the cluster and touchscreen, it can alert drivers of nearby hazards like active fire trucks or ambulances.

The base powertrain is still the well-known 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. For the PHEV, the V6 is paired with dual electric motors to make 260 hp combined, but it delivers a total range of over 500 miles and an all-electric range of over 30 miles. Pricing for the 2024 Pacifica hasn't yet been published, but the 2023 Pacifica starts at $37,620 and the Pacifica PHEV at $51,095 before incentives.

For now, the Chrysler brand in America rests solely on the shoulders of the Pacifica. The 2023 300 is still available to order, but the car will shortly go out of production; last year, the 300C with a 6.4-liter V8 was introduced as a farewell model for the aging sedan.

Chrysler's future will depend on an electrified lineup, with some Chrysler EVs sharing a new platform with future Jeeps. The Airflow concept that was thought to be dead may yet evolve into a production model that could be the key to revitalizing the marque in the USA.
