Honda Civic Type R

Introduced last year, the latest Civic Type R is one of the best modern hot hatches money can buy. The turbocharged 2.0-liter engine channels 315 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.

It's a remarkably dynamic machine and recently set a lap record for front-wheel drive production vehicles at the Nurburgring. If you can't afford the $43,795 sticker price, the Type R can be sampled on the world's finest race tracks - albeit digitally.

The GR Corolla was added in the previous update, so players can race each other with these incredible hot hatches.

Garage RCR Civic

Based on the fifth-generation Civic EG, the Garage RCR Civic was awarded the 'Gran Turismo' Award at the 2017 SEMA Show.

Styled after a JDM time attack car, the humble hatchback has been transformed into a menacing track brawler, thanks to a kit from Rocket Bunny, which includes widened fenders, a prominent front splitter, and a massive rear wing. The Garage RCR Civic is powered by a turbocharged K20 engine that sends power to the wheels via a sequential gearbox.

Mazda 3 Gr.4

The Mazda 3 Gr.4 rounds off the car updates for this month. This is a rather exciting vehicle powered by an experimental biodiesel engine that is being used to explore the future of the combustion engine.

Mazda's advanced race car took part in the 2023 Super Taikyu endurance race series, with the automaker endeavoring to find a balance between driving pleasure and carbon neutrality. The 2.2-liter SkyActiv-D motor reportedly produces as much as 256 hp, which doesn't sound like much, but Mazda has fitted lightweight body components to keep weight down.

The aerodynamics have been improved with sportier spoilers and wings.
