2024 Lexus TX Three-Row SUV Starts At $53,700, Tops Out At $81,000

Unveiled last June, the configurator for the first-ever Lexus TX has officially opened. Those eyeing the three-row SUV can now place their order, with prices starting at $53,700 or over $10,000 more expensive than its platform sibling, the Toyota Grand Highlander.

That sticker price goes for the base Lexus TX 350 in front-wheel-drive (FWD) guise; add $1,600 for the all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant. There isn't much option for the base trim, limited to the $500 Cloudburst Gray paint color and the $250 cold area package that adds a heated steering wheel and windshield de-icer.

The 350 Premium trim adds a panoramic glass roof, heated and ventilated front seats, and power-folding third-row seats as standard. Pricing starts at $57,100 for the FWD and $58,700 for the AWD. The Peppercorn NuLuxe (brown) upholstery is a no-cost option at this level.

More options become available for Premium trim, such as the Technology Package ($1,050) that adds bigger screens and active park-assist features, and the Convenience Package ($895) that adds a digital key, front cross-traffic alert, and traffic jam assist. There are also heated and ventilated captain's chairs on the second row ($1,160), and a 21-speaker Mark Levinson surround sound system ($1,160).

Meanwhile, the 350 Luxury trim sees the addition of semi-aniline leather-trimmed seats, heated second-row seats, heated steering wheel, and thematic ambient lighting as standard features. FWD version is priced at $59,600, while AWD costs $61,200.

Options from the Premium are carried over to the Luxury, though you can opt for the bigger 22-inch multi-spoke silver alloy wheels at this level. You also get a digital rearview mirror and head-up display as part of the $2,150 Technology Package.

All TX 350 models are powered by a turbocharged 2.4-liter gasoline engine, sending 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft torque to the wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.

An electrified Lexus TX, the TX 500h, is also available, exclusively offered as an F Sport Performance trim with DIRECT4 AWD system. The Premium level, priced at $68,000, comes standard with F Sport-tuned adaptive variable suspension, 22-inch wheels, second-row captain's chairs, and no-cost choices for paint colors. Additional options include the Cold Area Package, $1,280 Technology Package with remote parking feature, $850 Convenience Package, the Mark Levinson speakers, and a $560 120V/1,500-watt AC power outlet.

The ultimate build goes to the TX 500h F Sport Performance Luxury, starting at $71,300. It comes standard with the Mark Levinson speakers, genuine leather upholstery, and a heated steering wheel. The $2,380 Technology Package has a remote parking feature and an around-view monitor.

The TX 500h variants are powered by a parallel-hybrid setup for the 2.4-liter mill, producing as much as 366 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. These figures are sent to all four wheels via a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The prices mentioned here don't include the $1,350 delivery and handling fees. The most expensive TX 500h F Sport Performance Luxury build, with all options and accessories thrown at it, costs a staggering $81,723.

If you're eyeing the plug-in hybrid TX 550h+ variant, Lexus will offer it later, albeit no specific timeline has been set. Meanwhile, the other three-row SUV, the Lexus GX, has yet to reach the automaker's US configurator. They're quite different from each other, though you may want to turn your attention to the GX if you want a more robust, off-road-ready SUV.
