2024 Nissan Z Nismo Pricing Leaks Early

Leaked / 21 Comments

Bad news, it's not cheap. It's more than a Mustang Dark Horse.

Pricing for the 2024 Nissan Z has allegedly leaked early, including pricing for the track-focused Z Nismo model. According to a post on the New Nissan Z Forum, the 2024 Z starts at $42,210, a notable $1,220 increase over the 2023 model's $39,990 MSRP, not including the $1,095 destination fee. If you want the Z Performance with the limited-slip differential and other notable upgrades, that trim will start at $52,210 for the 2024 model year.

As for the Z Nismo, here's where the bad news begins. The more powerful, performance-oriented Nismo starts at $64,990, a whopping $12,780 more than the Z Performance. That's also more expensive than the Ford Mustang Dark Horse ($59,100), which has the Z Nismo outmatched by 80 horsepower.

As a reminder, the Nismo tuned Z produces 420 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque from its twin-turbocharged V6 engine. Unlike the standard Z, which is available with a six-speed manual transmission, the Nismo only comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission much to the chagrin of enthusiasts. Nissan is open to the idea of giving the Nismo a manual, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet. At least the automatic gets retuned shift programming and upgrading clutch packs.

Other Nismo upgrades include stiffer suspension, stickier tires, RAYS alloy wheels, larger brake calipers, Recaro sport seats, and a Sport+ driving mode. On the exterior, it gets a ducktail spoiler, Nismo side skirts, and more.

CarBuzz will have a chance to drive the Nismo Z next week, so we will deliver our verdict on whether or not the upgrades are worth nearly $13,000. Other sports cars that are available for under $65,000 include the Acura Integra Type S, Chevrolet Camaro SS, and Toyota GR Supra. That's assuming you could actually get one at sticker price because dealerships have already slapped massive markups on the standard car.

Nissan will likely reveal pricing for the 2024 Z, including the Nismo, shortly after the first drive in California next week. We'll report back if this pricing turns out to be inaccurate.
