2025 Audi Q3 Spotted Wearing Sharper Suit

Spy Shots / 2 Comments

This particular model appears to be a plug-in hybrid.

The next-generation Audi Q3 has been spied for the first time, roaming the roads around the Nurburgring.

Despite wearing heavy camouflage, our spy photographers managed to capture notable exterior design cues that match up with the Audi Q6 e-tron. The latter has been revealed as a prototype, but we have yet to see the real deal.

It appears to have the same split headlight design separating the daytime running lights and indicators from the main beams. The overall design fits in with most of Audi's upcoming cars that have been snapped by the CarBuzz paparazzi. The Audi SQ5 looks equally sharp, and those slim headlights will also be used on the forthcoming RS6 Avant facelift.

The Q3 replacement looks significantly bigger than the outgoing model. In fact, the dimensions appear to be on par with the first-generation Audi Q5.

The taillights appear in production production-ready, and we're pretty sure that Audi will integrate a trendy lightbar connecting the lights on either side of the car. We also can't see a tailpipe, which means this might be an entry-level model. Or it could be a case of hiding the pipes on purpose, as it is becoming a more prominent design feature in the automotive world.

Look closely, and you'll spot a charging port on the left front fender. The car also has the obligatory electricity warning sign in the window, so this is most definitely a plug-in hybrid. The Q3 PHEV will have a lot in common with the upcoming Tiguan PHEV.

The rumor mill suggests that two PHEVs will be available. The standard version will produce 201 horsepower, while the lukewarm model will have 268 hp on tap. As for the hottest Q3 of them all, don't expect to see the turbocharged five-pot in America. Audi stated in the past that the compact high-performance market is too small in the USA, and we don't think the Germans have changed their minds.

The Q3 PHEV will also have a lot in common with its other corporate cousin, the Cupra Terramar. We know a bit more about the Spanish Tiguan, like the promised 62 miles of all-electric range.

Following Audi's timeline, the next-generation Q3 will likely debut sometime in 2024, taking over from the current model that has been on sale for six years. that has been running for six years.

Upon arrival, the all-new Q3 will likely serve as the brand's entry-level model. Audi's Q2 was never made available in the USA, but the brand confirmed last year that the A1 (also not sold in the USA) and the Q2 will not be getting successors. Instead, Audi will use the funds to build more electric vehicles.
