The engine choices remain the same, including the lively 308-horsepower V6, which ensures it can keep up with the Honda Passport and Ford Edge, at least on the road. You also get unrestricted access to AWD, which helps the SUV sell well in cold-weather states and handle more athletically. Of course, it's no larger than it was, which means limited passenger and cargo space is still an issue. The standard tech offering isn't bad either, but the price of the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer can get a bit out of hand once you start tacking on options. Hopefully, a new look will be enough to keep prospective buyers interested.

At the top of the range is the Premier, which retails for $42,800 if you settle for the four-pot or $43,300 with the V6. Each model can also be had with AWD for an extra $2,700. The 2023 Blazer is a sporty-looking SUV that backs it up with a pair of capable engines, but it's the V6 engine that really puts some fizz under the hood. When you're casually cruising around town, the steering is light and quick, letting you switch lanes and take corners with ease, but once you get up to speed on the highway, it gains some heft. However, it's not quite so cushy as to eat up large bumps without passengers noticing. Unfortunately, the Chevy doesn't have as much space in the back as leading rivals, though it should be enough for most shoppers. It more than makes up for any shortcomings with its engaging driving dynamics, and the standard tech offering isn't too shabby, either. Sadly, it is a bit expensive for the segment, and adding a few options to fill in the feature blank spots pushes the price up even higher. But if you're not keen on the idea of choosing between performance and practicality, it's a price you may be willing to pay. Still, we have a hard time saying it's entirely worth the money for the value you're getting in return.

After a quick review of the Chevrolet Blazer lineup, we have to say that it's the upper-tier trims that give you the best packages. The RS includes a sport-tuned suspension and tighter steering if the car's sportiness is what appeals to you the most. However, if you want a well-appointed and comfortable SUV that can have fun from time to time, then the Premier is the way to go. It's a little pricey, but it comes with all the best tech.
