Fully-Specced 2023 Toyota Prius Doesn't Come Cheap

The Toyota Prius broke cover in November last year and surprised many with its gorgeous exterior design and tasteful interior. It's well-priced too, with the entry-level model coming in at $27,450. That's astonishing value, but how much would you pay for a fully optioned range-topper?

You'd have to start off with the Limited AWD, which, at $35,865, is packed with several luxury features. Heated and ventilated seats (with power adjustment for the driver), a fixed glass roof, a power-operated tailgate, and a wireless charger are just some of the standard amenities.

Several available options will see the Prius's price tag quickly inflate, though. Six colors are available. Midnight Black Metallic, Cutting Edge (silver), Guardian Grey, and Reservoir Blue are no-cost options but specifying Wind Chill Pearl or Supersonic Red tacks $495 onto the MSRP.

Just two interior colors are offered; Gradient Black and Light Grey. Both are offered at no additional cost to the buyer.

Three packages are provided to make the posh Prius even more luxurious. A digital rearview mirror is available for $200 and heated rear seats can be had for $350. Both are included with the $1,635 Limited Premium Package with options bundle, which also adds Advanced Park and a Panoramic View Monitor.

Those are just about all the options buyers can select from, but Toyota also offers a wide variety of accessories for the Prius - 26, to be exact. Most of them are practical - such as the $200 catalytic converter shield - and are well worth the money. An integrated dashcam ($375) is also a sensible addition.

Should you feel the need to protect your new Prius, Toyota offers several accessories aimed at preserving the exterior. This includes body side moldings ($275), paint protection film for the front bumper ($525), and door edge guards ($150).

Interior accessories comprise your regular accessories such as carpet floor mats ($179), an emergency kit ($75), a first aid kit ($25), and all-weather floor liners ($179). Also on offer for customers to select from is the "Preferred Accessories" package, which combines certain accessories into one bundle.

Were you to tick every single box, a 2023 Prius Limited AWD would set you back just over $42,000. That's a staggering amount for a car like this, but we highly doubt any customer would equip their vehicle with every possible accessory and option. We expect the Prius Prime to have an even heftier MSRP when pricing is released, especially when loaded with every possible option.
