The Galant used to be a fun, albeit not particularly popular, alternative to the midsize sedans of the day. In recent years, it has been redesigned to be more competitive. This was a good idea in theory, but it work quite as well as planned. The Galant does represent a pretty good value if you are buying the stripped-down base model, but start optioning-up and the Galant quickly becomes outclassed by the competition, especially the Korean competition. It’s a car that you can feel comfortable overlooking unless you are bargain hunting. Another case of Mitsubishi failing to keep up with the competition.
