Singer, Tom Brady, And Hertz Team JOTA Partner On Porsche 963 Le Mans Hypercar

This is going to look brilliant on the starting line at the 1000 Miles of Sebring.

Hertz Team JOTA, a hypercar racing team sponsored by Hertz and Singer Vehicle Design, has revealed the gorgeous livery to be worn by its Porsche 963 LMDh racer.

The rich golden livery was designed by Singer - best known for its incredible Porsche 911-based projects - and is said to celebrate 100 years of the iconic Le Mans 24 Hours. The Racing Gold livery blends racing history with the modern era and looks superb on the sleek German racer.

Hertz Team JOTA has partnered with BRADY, an apparel brand owned by NFL legend Tom Brady, which will serve as the official apparel partner for the racing team. Gold has been long associated with Hertz, which has applied the resplendent shade to the more exciting members of its rental fleet.

The livery features the Hertz and Singer logos, along with emblems from Michelin and DHL.

The Golden Porsche will debut at the 1000 Miles of Sebring in Florida, which is the first event in the 2023 World Endurance Championship calendar. Number 38 will be expertly piloted by Yifei Ye, Antonio Felix da Costa, and Will Stevens. Sebring will be followed by two six-hour races in Europe, followed by the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and lastly three more motorsport events in Italy, Japan, and Bahrain.

"As a team, we have demonstrated our abilities to perform [by] securing 10 podiums in the last nine years of Le Mans 24 Hours. Thanks to the support of our new partners, we're stepping up to the Hypercar class and Hertz Team JOTA will be competing against some of the world's largest automotive manufacturers," said JOTA co-owners David Clark and Sam Hignett.

"We have a strong, experienced team and as one of the few private entries into the class, we're keeping the spirit of Le Mans alive and look forward to getting out on track," they added.

Hertz Team JOTA is one of several teams that will field a hypercar in the 2023 season, with a reported 16 cars entering the Hypercar class. The 963 LMDh racer, as a reminder, gains motivation from a 4.6-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 680 horsepower; this motor is based on the engine from the Porsche 918 Spyder.

With a price tag of $2.9 million, the 963 does not come cheap, but for race teams that want the peace of mind that comes with readily available parts and support, it's well worth the outlay. We can't wait to see the golden racer take to Sebring later this month.
