Lamborghini Urus PHEV's Interior And Exterior Updates Spotted For The First Time

Spy Shots / 2 Comments

We glimpse the electrified Urus' cabin for the first time.

With the pure combustion engine-powered Lamborghini Urus sold out until the end of production, those planning to buy the super SUV have to wait for the upcoming plug-in hybrid.

Our car paparazzi caught the Urus prototype while testing, revealing the interior and exterior changes future buyers can expect.

The photos reveal several cabin updates. The center console is getting a mild redesign, with new air vents and a larger upper touchscreen. Lamborghini also removed the controversial touch buttons between the upper and lower screens, replacing them with physical toggle switches.

Our spies also noticed that the lower display also appears slightly larger than before, while the digital instrument cluster now features PHEV-related information.

Despite the concealment, exterior updates have become more apparent in these most recent spy shots. The hood dives down further than before while the headlights take on a new shape with fresh daytime running lights.

The story's the same with the restyled front and rear bumpers and the rear spoiler. The prototype has green brake calipers, which will likely be the standard color for the hybrid. It appears to be the same green Porsche uses to signify plug-in models. That being said, we don't doubt that Lambo will give its customers the option of painting these calipers in whatever color they want.

The taillights, however, are entirely hidden from prying eyes. We guess this means they'll get a complete redesign, possibly incorporating some design elements from the new Revuelto. It still has four exhaust outlets, two on either side.

It was previously thought the Urus PHEV would adopt the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid's powertrain. Our sources now say that the V8 will come from the previously spied Huracan successor, while the newly developed eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission will come from the Revuelto.

We expect Lamborghini to reveal the Urus PHEV in 2024, with concrete details coming in the months leading to its global debut.
