Lamborghini Urus Transformed Into 800-HP Limited Edition Super SUV

ABT shows what it can do to Lambo's SUV.

ABT is known for its outrageous Audi modifications, such as the Bugatti-killing Audi RS7, but the German tuning firm can do Lamborghinis, too, as long as they have VW engines.

Meet the Urus Scatenato. With an Italian name that roughly translates to "raging," "wild," and "unleashed," ABT has given the Urus supercar levels of power to match the moniker. Even better, it's limited to 99 units, making it much scarcer than the average Urus.

The Lamborghini Urus has never been a modest car, and the Scatenato takes it to the next level. ABT has incorporated a striking carbon engine cover and an eye-catching body kit to make a bold statement.

The kit includes a front spoiler with a prominent center blade, a rear spoiler, and a diffuser that looks like it was borrowed from a Le Mans racer. These additions enhance the aesthetics and promise additional downforce for improved stability.

Carbon fiber is a recurring theme throughout the Scatenato. The in-house designed 23-inch forged wheels and four massive titanium exhaust pipes contribute to the vehicle's imposing presence.

Under the carbon-adorned hood, ABT has amplified the power of the VW Group's 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine to a staggering 799 horsepower - up from the 666 hp of the most potent Urus available in showrooms, the Performante. This boost in power is achieved through ABT's upgraded turbo and intercooler, likely coupled with an ECU tweak.

Inside the Scatenato, carbon fiber continues to dominate, adorning the dash trim, gear shifter, seat frame covers, and even the bonnet release lever. Buyers have the option of choosing between glossy and matte finishes. Custom and serialized sills and badges further differentiate this Urus from the standard models.

ABT knows there's demand for tuned performance SUVs, charging 179,000 euros for the Urus Scatenato tuning package or around $189,340 at the current exchange rate. That's for the tuning package only and excluding installation, so you still need to buy an Urus to apply it to. The company offers a three-year or 62,000-mile warranty, mirroring the manufacturer's coverage.

Given its ultra-limited status and the fact that the next Urus will have some form of electrification, it's the customer's call whether this package is worth the money.
