There aren't many minivans left in the USA, and the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid has always been one of the most impressive. Not only does it come equipped with a modestly powerful V6, but it also gets dual electric motors for a combined 260 horsepower and really good fuel economy for a car this size. Even better is the 32 miles of all-electric range that makes it a real penny saver if you can recharge between short commutes. There also aren't many hybrid rivals to the Pacifica, with just the Toyota Sienna fitting the bill. It's not nearly as premium, nor does it travel as far on a charge. Now, you may think you'd have to invest heavily in a car that gives you great practicality and lower fuel bills, but the Chrysler is surprisingly affordable, which should see it continue to sell well.
There are no significant changes to the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. There is a new optional package, though, available on the base-tier Touring L. The Road Tripper, as it's called, costs $1,495 and adds larger wheels, Granite exterior accents, all-weather floor and cargo mats, and a cargo bin with Stow 'n Go functionality.
The price of the new Chrysler Pacifica is genuinely reasonable, with the base Touring L starting at $50,795. It's a pretty standard jump up to the Limited at $55,390, while the top-of-the-range Pinnacle barely exceeds $60k at $60,540. However, adding the new Road Tripper Package will cost $1,495. It's also worth noting that these are MSRP prices for the Chrysler Pacifica that do not factor in the destination cost of $1,595.

The 2023 Pacifica Hybrid is capable of deft handling despite its size. It won't roll much when you take it through the corners, but if you don't respect just how big and heavy it is, you'll need to learn how to cope with some serious understeer. When driving more responsibly, the steering is light and responsive, making it easy to get the long and wide vehicle into those tricky parking spots. Where the minivan really shines, though, is its ride comfort. This is a Chrysler, after all. Thanks to the Independent MacPherson struts in the front and twist-blade coil-spring setup in the back, a smooth ride is all but guaranteed, no matter how unkempt the road may be. This makes it a perfect car to move people and stuff in comfort, especially over long trips where taking a nap in the back is a great way to pass the time. The icing on the cake is the standard all-wheel drivetrain, which allows the Chrysler Pacifica plug-in minivan to cope better with snow or rain, and it is possible for up to 100% of the engine torque to be sent to the rear wheels.
NHTSA safety ratings are not available at this time.
With this vehicle, the automaker has taken a minivan that already boasts a well-appointed, comfortable, and spacious interior and adds a hybrid powertrain that brings impressive long-term savings to the table. Normally, you'd have to sacrifice power and driving in the name of economy, but the Pacifica is still really easy to drive. However, you will need to keep an eye on your mileage if you want to take advantage of the 32-mile all-electric range between recharges. But even once you drain the battery, the V6 engine isn't too thirsty, making long-distance road trips quite possible. And you can be assured of the whole family's safety thanks to a generous standard offering of driver assists; the Chrysler Pacific and its hybrid version historically get a great safety review, too. Finally, there are enough comforts to keep the kids appeased until the answer to "Are we there yet?" is yes.
If you have your heart set on a new Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivan, then you're not likely to get it broken. However, you will need to pick a trim that best suits your needs and your pocket. In our opinion, the base Touring L should cover most of the bases since the Limited focuses mostly on extra luxuries like Nappa leather upholstery, and the additions to the safety suite aren't essential. Buying a hybrid should be about making your money work for you, and it does the job best when spent sparingly.
