Rex Sanchez first got into cars when he hopped inside his dad’s fourth-generation Ford Mustang as a kid, realizing cars can give fun and enthusiasm too. Since then, he has developed a love for anything car-related – even finding beauty in the blue radio backlight in the old Hyundai Elantra, and orange backlight in the old Mazda3.

His first writing gig in the automotive industry is with Philkotse, a leading car-buying website in the Philippines. Rex also had a go at the Philippine broadsheet publication Daily Tribune where he contributed to its motoring section, Blast.

As one part of Carbuzz’s staff writer, Rex is thrilled to be imparting this enthusiasm to a more diverse audience. When he is away from the keyboard, Rex finds excitement from hitting apexes on world-renowned tracks – in the virtual world, at least.
