Tushek Aeon Revealed As A 2,500-HP Electric Hypercar

Electric Vehicles / 11 Comments

The hypercar is also available with a 1,930-horsepower V8 PHEV version.

Slovenian automaker Tushek has unveiled the Aeon as an all-new high-performance model set to "dominate the world of hypercars." That's quite a bold statement, but the Tushek Aeon has the numbers to back the claim.

The Aeon will have two powertrain options: a V8 plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) and an all-electric version.

The Aeon V8 PHEV promises to deliver 1,930 horsepower while retaining a weight of 1,480 kg (3,263 lbs). For reference, that is about as light as a modern-day Volkswagen Golf. Tushek claims this version has a remarkable power-to-weight ratio of 1.3:1.

The EV version offers even a higher power-to-weight ratio of 1.7:1. This is made possible by an all-electric powertrain that produces a whopping 2,500 hp and a weight of just under 1,600 kg (3,527 lbs).

The road to dominate the hypercar market won't be as easy as it sounds, though, with models like the Lotus Evija and Rimac Nevera ready to put up a fight. The latter even holds the record for the fastest production EV around the Nurburgring, beating the Tesla Model S Plaid by a full 20 seconds.

The Zenvo Aurora is another recent entrant to the hypercar category, boasting the most powerful V12 engine in the world. This hypercar is powered by a 6.6-liter quad-turbo 12-pot engine, generating a combined output of 1,850 hp.

Although we are only seeing a preview of the Tushek Aeon, the new hypercar is already impressive in its own right. The automaker will reveal the full specifications before the end of September.

The Aeon will be joining the Tushek TS900 Apex hypercar in the brand's active lineup. Limited to 36 examples, this hypercar boasts 1,332 hp and a curb weight of under 2,976 lbs, making it one of the lightest hypercars in the world.

"Aeon heralds a new dawn in hypercar production, with personalization at the forefront. Each vehicle is individually tailored to its owner to create an unparalleled bond. Our launch concept allows customers to fully customize the interior of the vehicle. This sets us apart from other suppliers worldwide and ensures each vehicle is truly unique," said Aljosa Tusek, CEO and founder of Tushek.
