Polestar is co-owned by Geely and Volvo Cars and builds only alternative-propulsion vehicles. Originally the performance arm under which Volvo went racing in numerous Touring Car racing series, Polestar became an in-house performance division before being spun off entirely into a standalone brand with a focus on performance EVs and hybrids. The current business plan seems to involve releasing a single model each year, be it sedan, coupe, SUV, or any other body style.
This is a list of the Polestar car models and their prices in the USA:
Model | Power | Engine | Base Price |
---|---|---|---|
Polestar 1 | 322 hp | 2.0L Twincharged Inline-4 Plug-in Hybrid | $155,000 |
Polestar 2 | 421 hp | Electric | $49,900 |
Polestar 3 | TBC | TBC | TBC |
Polestar 4 | TBC | TBC | TBC |
Polestar 5 | TBC | TBC | TBC |
Polestar Polestar 6 | TBC | TBC | TBC |
Polestar vehicles have always been among the best in their respective fields, at least when the brand was a sub-division of Volvo. Now, it is making its own electric cars that need to continue and expand upon this history of excellence. This should help it stand out from other established and start-up EV makers in the US, especially in these key areas.
